Influence of vapor balance pipeline on adjacent storage tanks under internal explosion

Abstract: Abstract: In order to study the risk of rupture of adjacent tank tops caused by the displacement of vapor balance pipeline under internal explosion of fixed roof tanks, the internal explosion process of typical tanks was simulated and the variation curve of explosion overpressure with time was obtained. According to the direct connection and π connection forms of vapor balance pipeline on the tank top, the finite element model is established to simulate the scenarios of overall fracture and 120° fracture pressure relief of the tank top under the working condition of explosion accident, and the displacement parameters and damage consequences of the tank and connecting pipeline are calculated. The results show that when the overall fracture and 120° fracture pressure relief of the tank top, the vapor balance pipeline of the two connection forms will not be damaged, but the π connection is better than the direct connection of storage tank.
