Review and prospect of safety performance and testing methods of lithium battery diaphragm

Abstract: Abstract: As an important part of lithium-ion battery, the diaphragm plays a vital role in the safety and stability of lithium battery. However, with the increasing application of lithium battery, the number of lithium battery fire is increasing, resulting in significant property losses. At present, the improvement of lithium battery is mainly focused on the process, and the safety of lithium battery diaphragm is not studied. In view of this situation, starting from the characteristics of lithium battery fire, collision extrusion, puncture and other accidents, this paper expounds the factors influencing the safety performance of lithium-ion battery diaphragm, the research status of diaphragm modification and performance testing methods. Finally, based on the current situation of lithium battery accidents, the safety performance test method of diaphragm is improved, which can provide reference for the development direction of lithium battery diaphragm and thermal runaway safety test in the future.
