Cause analysis of leakage at the bottom of gas cylinder containing IG541 gas

Abstract

Abstract: In view of the fact that the leakage at the grounding point of gas cylinders for filling IG541 gas during the hydrostatic test, the cause of gas cylinder leakage was analyzed. The corrosion product, which was at the bottom of the gas cylinder after hydraulic blasting was analyzed by energy spectrum. The corrosion product is determined as FeCO3 according to the element proportion. The formation process of FeCO3 is analyzed. The reasonable measures to control the filling of IG541 gas is found out，according to the analyzing of the formation process of FeCO3.
