Fire extinguishing effect of heptafluoropropane on fire of lithium iron phosphate energy storage batteries

Abstract: Heptafluoropropane was used as extinguishing agent to research the fire extinguishing effect on fire of lithium iron phosphate energy storage battery under different injection modes. It is found that all modes of injection can extinguish open flames within 8s, but the extinguishing effect is different. When heptafluoropropane is sprayed vertically, it only takes 2 s to extinguish open flames, and the instantaneous cooling rate can reach 43 ℃/s at most. The suppression time of reburning is long, the duration of temperature rising and the duration of smoking are short. The extinguishing agent nozzle should coverup of the batterydirectly to maximize the extinguishing effect of heptafluoropropane of injection mode.
