Gas detection and identification method based on viscosity characteristic

Abstract: A gas component detection method based on differential pressure principle was proposed. By measuring the differential pressure signal response of the gas to be measured after passing through the special viscosity sensor, the gas viscosity data can be obtained through conversion. The gas composition can be obtained by inversion according to the quantitative relationship based on Poiseuille's law and the viscosity theory of mixed gas. The experimental results proved the feasibility of gas recognition using viscosity in theory and practice. Verification tests based on flowrate reference value and linear equation slope were carried out. Results showed that both two methods are effective ways to accurately identify the 4 unknown gas samples.
