Research on the fire safety of Wildland-Urban Interface

Abstract: In order to enhance fire control and prevention capability in Wildland- Urban Interface in China, this article compared the fundamental prospect and focus of International WildlandUrban Interface Codes and Code for Fire Protection and Prevention in Rural Areas as well as other China's regulations. Jindong District of Jinhua, Zhejiang was sampled to analyze current fire protection situation in WUI areas of China. The result showed that the fire protection and prevention codes of WUI areas in China lag relatively behind the ICC standards,which was a great restraint to fire protection ability development in WUI areas of China. Conducting relevant research and formulating corresponding codes and regulations are the basis for strengthening fire safety of WUI areas.
