Abstract: Based on the structural characteristics of a long and narrow underground project, the communication work area of the project is simulated by FDS software. Through the means of performance-based design, setting fire scene and personnel density reasonably, the smoke exhaust effect of two-way corridor and one-way corridor under different mechanical air supplement conditions is studied, and the performance-based evaluation of personnel safety evacuation is carried out. The results show that when mechanical exhaust is adopted for the project model, the mechanical air supplement ratio should not be too large, and the mechanical air supplement volume should be 50% ~ 75% of the exhaust volume.
