Research status on fire and explosion risk of hydrogen fuel cell and its prevention

Abstract: HFCV is an important direction for the development of new energy vehicles in China. HFCV and hydrogenation infrastructure related fire safety theories, codes and standards need to be improved. This paper analyzes the fire and explosion risk and fire safety status of HFCV and hydrogenation station. Research progress and achievements in various disaster scenarios such as high-pressure hydrogen leakage caused jet impact, diffusion accumulation, jet combustion, gas cloud explosion and explosion are summarized. The problems and limitations of high-pressure hydrogen fire protection have been discussed, and research directions of hydrogen energy fire safety have been prospected.
