Numerical simulation of fire in pressed ventilation tunnel based on PyroSim

Abstract: Based on the“11·19”fire accident in Shandong in 2019, using PyroSim software, a fire simulation of a pressed driving tunnel with a total length of 400 m and a fire source located at 200 m was performed for both the blown and unblown ducts in the tunnel and different fire source powers. The results showed that: if a fire occurs in a press-in tunnel, the fire will develop more quickly once the wind tunnel is blown out; under certain conditions, the temperature, smoke shading rate of the trapped area in the fire field in the tunnel will increase rapidly with time and wind effect; the greater the power of the fire source, the shorter the time the trapped area is at risk.
