Effects of organosilicone/hydrocarbon surfactant on the properties of water-forming film extinguishing agent

Abstract: In order to solve the problem that the surfactant in the present aqueous film extinguishing agent is harmful to the environment, the environmental friendly surfactant with excellent performance is selected to prepare aqueous film extinguishing agent.The performance of fire extinguishing agent added with surfactant istested.The results show that the silicone - based surfactant lauryl dimethyl betaine (BS - 12) and the bicarbonic - hydrocarbon surfactant cocamide - propyl betaine (CAB) have better properties and higher foaming ability, stable foam, rapid spreading and short extinguishing time.
