Abstract: In this paper, the main related research of urban underground utility tunnel and power compartment fires in China from 2017 to 2020 was reviewed, the research focus was summarized, fire evolution rules were discussed, and the future research directions were proposed.

Key words: underground utility tunnel, power compartment, cable fire, fire evolution
