The influence of dry powder particle properties on the flow characteristics of two-phase turbulent jet

Abstract: In order to study the effects of the dry powder particle properties on the flow characteristics of the gas-solid two-phase turbulent jet flow, the Eulerian-Eulerian model is used to simulate the outflow field based on the software ANSYS Fluent. The model and the results are verified. The influences of the particle concentration and particle density on the two-phase flow field and the discharge performance of the powder jet are analyzed. It is clearly revealed that the powder injection with different particle concentrations and particle density exhibit significant influence on the behavior and characteristics of the particle-laden jet flow. As the particle concentration increases, the air velocity field changes dramatically, and the jet solid volume distribution value increases significantly. With the increase of particle density, the injection distance increases, and the spread of solid particles become narrower with a transition from U-shaped to V-shaped structure on the ground.
