Experimental study on pyrolysis of five broad-leaved wood leaves in northeast

Abstract: Pyrolysis process and dynamic characteristics of5com⁃mon broad-leaf species in Northeast China, such as white birch, ashtree, mongolian oak, abele and salizmatsudana,was studied by thermogravimetric analysis. The heating rates were 10,15,20℃/min and particle sizes were40,60,80mesh. The pyrolysis process of experimental materials was analyzed in a nitrogen atmosphere and the kinetics was studied by Gorbatchev integral method. The experimental results showed that the pyrolysis process of the samples can be divided into4 stages: water loss, slight weightless⁃ness, main weightlessness and carbonation, among which the main weight loss stage had the most weight loss. The order of flammability of the 5samples is as follows: abele > mongolian oak > salizmatsudana > ashtree > white birch, and the order of activation en⁃ergy is as follows: white birch > ashtree > salizmatsudana > mon⁃golian oak > abele. The stronger the flammability, the smaller the activation energy. The higher the heating rate, the higher the initial temperature and termination temperature of pyrolysis reaction,and the fasterthe weight loss rate, the more adequate the pyrolysis reaction.
